Fractals
Perhaps you already know fractals without ever having consciously thought about them: shapes that resemble themselves no matter how closely or distantly you look at them. A cauliflower, a fern, a coastline – the same form, again and again, and yet never quite the same. This series rests on that idea. Each volume is a story of its own, and yet motifs, characters and questions return, in related but never identical shape.
I don't write Fractals quietly in a back room to present it when finished. I write it in the open – together with Claude, an AI, and with you. The story is set in a forgotten corner of the world of The Dark Eye and grows chapter by chapter.
At the very bottom of this page you'll find the series' idea book – an open idea board. There you can suggest how you think the story should continue: a twist, a character, a place, a question that ought to trouble Arlon. Other readers upvote the ideas they want to see. Claude and I take on the suggestions with the most support and weave them into the story. That way, you help decide where the journey goes.
New chapters arrive whenever I have the time and the inclination – no plan, no pressure, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. Better written rarely and with joy than on a timetable. So drop by every now and then. Or, better still: leave an idea behind.

Trag deine Idee für den weiteren Verlauf der Reihe ein. Andere pushen die Ideen, die sie sehen wollen – die meistgepushten bauen Sebastian & ich in die Geschichte ein.
